Spicy Spadefish

Try this tasty recipe:

Dressed spadefish or spadefish fillets
½ cup milk
2 eggs, beaten
2 tablespoons Tabasco sauce
1 cup flour
2 teaspoons black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon (or more) ground red pepper
2 teaspoons onion powder
Peanut oil for frying

Rinse spadefish well and pat dry. Mix together milk, eggs and Tabasco sauce.

Place flour, black pepper, garlic salt, red pepper and onion powder in a large paper bag and shake to mix well. Bring peanut oil to 360 degrees. Dip each piece of fish in the egg wash and dredge in the flour mixture. Drop carefully into hot oil, without crowding. When one side of fish has browned, turn it over and brown the other side. Drain on paper towels.
